HDFC Training Center
The design for this training facility for a prominent national bank revolved around an interplay of solids and voids. The multi-faceted program incorporated a broad spectrum of public and private spaces including an auditorium, educational rooms, a library, administrative areas, gathering or break-out spaces, and residential units.
A form of dynamically twisted blocks with interstitial green break-out spaces houses the facility. A monolithic character and unity in materiality serves as a visual identity of the campus. Each function is provided as a block with independent circulation with the flexibility of getting connected when necessary. Interspersed with courtyards, activity terraces and green breakout spaces, the Academic block provides multiple zones for interesting interactions.
