This contemporary 4-bedroom home is set on the 31st floor of a tower in a large residential community. In conversation with the clients, we found that they wished for a modern, contemporary home, elegant and fuss-free. For design inputs they relied on us. The initial thoughts for this residence are thus instinctive and derived from the architectural layout. With numerous shear walls throughout the flat, alterations were kept to a minimum. The clients understood the necessity to have an open floor plan and trusted our intentions for the design. This gave us confidence as we moved forward. Another constraint from the builder's side was the choice of flooring materials. We took these cues as our start point and tried to incorporate them into our design.
